About
Water Treatment Since 2012
elentecBio was formed in 2013 to commercialise more than 20 years of research and development by the directors of the company into electrochemical water treatment. R&D continues to be an important part of the company.
elentecBio’s core technology is Electro-Coagulation (EC), now being recognised as a cost-effective alternative to traditional chemical water treatment. elentecBioEC is a modular water treatment system that can cover a wide range of flow rates and can be delivered in a standard container or as a mobile unit.
Electro-Coagulation (EC)
Electro-Coagulation (EC) (patent pending) replaces traditional chemical water treatment. A key advantage of the process is the replacement of ‘wet’ coagulation chemicals (e.g. ferric chloride) with electrochemical cartridges containing safe and stable metal plates. This significantly reduces Health & Safety constraints on site – and also leads to reduced levels of sludge.
Many Years of Testing
The technology has been developed after many years of testing across a wide variety of industries with differing waste streams. Continuing R&D is now delivering an oxidation system as well as ways to enable emerging processes to recover resources and create sustainable energy.
Applications and what the technology does:
As a replacement technology for typical chemical coagulation, the same range of applications apply. Below is a list of applications where elentecBioEC has been tested.
elentecBioEC technology has been applied over a range of industries including: Automotive, Anaerobic Digestion, Municipal Effluent, Aquaculture, Mining, Brewing, Metal Finishing, Dairy
